Another Reason Not to Buy on Ebay
December 9th, 2008Just got a buyer strike from ebay today, you could say i’m a little peeved. With a score of about 1200 with one negative – from a non payer many years ago. Yes only on ebay can a non payer give you a negative feedback within minutes of the ebay auction finishing and then send you a email saying i’m not paying. To add insult to injury as ebay has just taken your listing fees, they say “its out of our hands”. Whats out of there hands the non paying scam.
Anyway the latest scam – what else can you call it. I paid extra ( a stack extra) for registered post as the seller babyroomart took no responsibility after she told you that she had posted it. No proof need
4 days after paying , which was 4 days after clicking the ebay boxes to say it was paid, the item turned up. I would not say that it was packaged the way i expected artwork to be, nor did i actually know from the packaging who it was from as babyroomart had used another sellers name and my postal address as her from address.
So i had paid babyroomart for the items, ticked the ebay boxes in myebay to say i had paid, i then left feedback – positive actually. Even stuck them on my daughters bedroom wall. Today i log into myebay account and there i see a non paying warning, for not paying for the items (that are hanging on my wall). I respond with payment advise but babyroomart gives me a nonpaying strike.
Seems that babyroomart has had her paypal account shutdown (the only reason i know for it not working), and we all know how hard it is to get a paypal account shutdown.
If ebay offers protection from scams if you pay by paypal why then does it allow sellers to sell and not offer paypal as a option. If Paypal and ebay are so integrated, how come they don’t talk on these issues.
